Water and wastewater · Pump distributor
Out with the old, in with the new: a station upgraded to Telemetrix
The distributor replaced a tired pump control panel with Telemetrix, so the station the engineer had been called out to now tells him when something is wrong.

The challenge
Replace an end-of-life pump control panel with one that does the same job and adds remote monitoring.
What we supplied
A Telemetrix wastewater panel with industrial switchgear and alerts over 4G, WiFi or Ethernet.
The result
The same job done, with the next fault known about before the site rings.
The requirement
Replace a pump control panel that had come to the end of its life with one that does the same job and adds remote monitoring, so the next fault is known about before the site rings.
The constraints
- A straight swap on a working station: in, out and running the same day.
- The engineers who maintain it needed a panel they could learn once and fit anywhere.
- Remote monitoring wanted without a monitoring contract attached to it.
What we built
A Telemetrix wastewater panel: industrial switchgear with no stepping relay to burn out, and remote monitoring over 4G, WiFi or Ethernet. Free email alerts for pump trip, high level and panel offline, texts at 10p each, and the optional Dashboard if the customer wants the history.
Delivery
Supplied from stock for the changeover.
The outcome
In the pump engineer's words: "Out with the old, in with the new, finish the week off with a Telemetrix by G&G Controls installation." The distributor has since been to Stoke-on-Trent to see the production line and work up a bespoke panel with us.
