Water and wastewater · Pumping station specialist, South East
Telemetrix as standard across a pump service contractor's stations
The contractor refurbishes and maintains pumping stations across the South East, and now fit Telemetrix as a matter of course: three side by side at one site, four in a single week at others, six and counting. They install them and then monitor them for their clients.

The challenge
A busy service contractor needs the panel on the shelf when the job is booked, not weeks later.
What we supplied
Telemetrix wastewater panels from stock, the same specification at every station.
The result
Six panels fitted across the portfolio, each station reporting its own faults.
The requirement
A busy service contractor needs the panel to be on the shelf when the job is booked, not weeks later, and needs every station it leaves behind to report for itself, so the next fault is a message to the office rather than a call-out or an angry client.
The constraints
- Refurbishments fitted around breakdown work, days and nights.
- Several stations a week across different sites, so the same panel every time saves engineering time on each.
- Remote monitoring on every station, without a subscription for the alerts.
- The contractor monitor the stations for their clients, so the alerts have to come to them and be worth acting on.
What we built
Telemetrix wastewater panels from stock, the same specification at each station: industrial switchgear with no stepping relay to burn out, and remote monitoring over 4G, WiFi or Ethernet. Free email alerts for pump trip, high level and panel offline, texts at 10p each, and the Dashboard where the history matters. An engineer who has fitted one has fitted them all.
Delivery
From stock as the jobs come up: three at one site, four in one week elsewhere, six and counting.
The outcome
Stations that tell the contractor when something is wrong, and a monitoring service they can offer their own clients on the back of it. Six panels and counting, in the words of their mechanical service manager: installed and monitored by their own engineers, one more every time a station is refurbished.
